MY TURN: Obama deserves more credit than GOP gives

Republicans and right-wing conservatives, desperate for any pretext to discredit President Barak Obama instantly and lastingly, are preemptively striking out to derail and demean any successes that may accrue to his administration. Philosophical differences related to governing and policy decisions are legitimate reasons to criticize any leader, including Obama. However, there are those who have not reconciled the fact that a black person is president of the United States. Their xenophobia consumes them and places them in a perpetual state of denial.

This is apparent in ridiculous lawsuits questioning the citizenship qualifications of Obama to be president and vicious lies regarding religion and cultural ties to his African born and bred father. A father he met only once according to BBC reporter Clive Myrie. In 2009, after speaking with people who knew Obama as a child, Myrie reported that in the late 1980s, Obama made an emotional pilgrimage to Kenya and discovered his father died a washed-up drunk, bitter and alone. Influence on Obama? Puhleeze.

Their wish is father of the thought that Obama is intellectually shallow, a closet Muslim, a socialist who hates free enterprise, reviles America, detests whites and all the other twaddle spewed out by Republicans. Their positions are insupportable so their best defense is a good offense.

OBAMA ELIGIBILITY CHALLENGES SPREAD TO 6 STATES

An administrative law judge in Georgia could decide as early as this week whether voters in the state convinced him Barack Obama’s name should be removed from the 2012 presidential ballot because he is not qualified to hold the office.

But win, lose or draw, the fight isn’t going to be over, as other cases are erupting across the nation, with challenges being raised anew even in Obama’s own adopted political network in Illinois.

The Georgia hearing was before Judge Michael Malihi, and while none of the lawyers who appeared in the proceedings was willing to predict what the decision will be, several did confirm that Malihi had considered simply granting them a default victory, because Obama and his lawyers expressly stated they would not participate in a hearing to provide evidence that he is qualified to be on the ballot.

A default presumably would have meant a recommendation from the judge that Obama’s name be stricken from the ballot, a decision which would head for review immediately by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

RUSH: OBAMA SPEECH A ‘FANTASYLAND’ OF LIES

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio giant Rush Limbaugh wasted no time today attacking President Obama’s State of the Union address, calling it a fantasyland packed with untruth.

“It was chock-full of lies. It was fantasyland. No, it didn’t soar. It was boring,” Limbaugh said.

“There was nothing to set it apart, nothing about it that’s going to be memorable in a positive way. General Motors, the No. 1 car company in the world again? It just isn’t true. None of the economic news is true. He did two things. He lied. He tried to paint the economy as back. We are back, except where we’re not back, and that’s Bush’s fault.”

During the president’s speech, Obama focused on what he claimed to be a massive turnaround for American carmakers, saying, “Today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s No. 1 automaker. Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And together, the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs.”

Georgia citizens today delivered sworn testimony to a court that Barack Obama is slam-dunk disqualified from having his name on the 2012 presidential ballot in the state, because his father never was a U.S. citizen, which prevents him from qualifying as a “natural-born citizen” as the U.S. Constitution requires for a president.

The historic hearing was the first time that a court has accepted arguments on the merits of the controversy over Obama’s status. His critics say he never met the constitutional requirements to occupy the Oval Office, and the states and Congress failed in their obligations to make sure only a qualified president is inaugurated. His supporters, meanwhile, argue he won the 2008 election and therefore was “vetted” by America.

GEORGIA WARNS OBAMA OF ‘PERIL’ OF IGNORING ELIGIBILITY HEARING

The state of Georgia is warning Barack Obama of the “peril” of simply ignoring today’s hearing on his eligibility to be on the 2012 presidential election ballot in the state.

The hearing before an administrative law judge was streamed live today, but Obama’s attorney, Michael Jablonski, yesterday told the state he and his client would not participate.

The attorney told Secretary of State Brian Kemp that the issue already had been resolved and it wasn’t any of the state’s business anyway.

Kemp disagreed, explaining in a response that was posted online after hours last night that the case simply was “in keeping with Georgia law.”

“As you are aware, OSAH Rule 616-1-2-.17 cited in your letter only applies to parties to a hearing. As the referring agency, the Secretary of State’s Office is not a party to the candidate challenge hearings scheduled for tomorrow. To the extent a request to withdraw the case referral is procedurally available, I do not believe such a request would be judicious given the hearing is set for [this] morning.”

He continued, “I expect the administrative law judge to report his findings to me after his full consideration of the evidence and law. Upon receipt of the report, I will fully and fairly review the entire record and initial decision of the administrative law judge.”

He also had a warning about the costs of simply not showing up for a court hearing.

Chairman of Progressive Insurance Peter Lewis Donated Millions to Left Wing Organizations

According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) website, the chairman of Progressive Insurance, Peter Lewis, gave $8 million in 2003 and $7 million in 2001. Click for ACLU news release.
A March 10, 2004 Washington Post article reported that Lewis had contributed $3 million to America Coming Together (ACT), a liberal political action group dedicated to encourage voters to the polls and $500,000 to MoveOn.org, a group formed in response to the campaign to impeach President Bill Clinton.

This eRumor originally appeared back in 2006 after an alert from the American Family Association went viral on the World Wide Web accusing billionaire George Soros and Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter Lewis of being the leading enemies of traditional values in the U.S.

On December 29, 2006, the American Family Association sent out an alert to their subscribers based on the findings in the book Culture Warrior by Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly. In it, O’Reilly wrote that Soros and Lewis are “working feverishly to ensure that the secular-progressive battalions are supplied with plenty of resources and firepower by which to pursue their global foreign-policy strategy and radical domestic agenda.” During the Talking Points portion of his January 6, 2006 Fox News program, O’Reilly reported that Lewis has donated $25 Million over the years to the ACLU since 2001. Bankrolled in large part by billionaires like George Soros and Peter Lewis, and along with more traditional institutions like organized labor and the environmental lobby, these organizations are effectively a shadow party that operates outside the ambit of the Democratic Party.”

WILL OBAMA SHOW UP AT ELIGIBILITY HEARING?

There’s a subpoena from a Georgia administrative court with Barack Obama’s name on it for him to be in Atlanta on Thursday, along with the documentation about his birth, to answer to challenges from residents of the state objecting to the presence of his name on the 2012 ballot.

They believe he’s simply not eligible under the Constitution’s requirement that a president be a “natural born citizen.” They say the Founders thought of that status as the offspring of two citizen parents, and Obama’s father was Kenyan. Or they say he wasn’t born in the U.S. They are legitimately allowed to raise those challenges under a state law.

But several observers say no one really should expect Obama to arrive.

For one thing, his important presidential trip to Denver, Detroit and Las Vegas, three key regions where he wants to build his support before the November 2012 election, is on tap.

Obama administration “rigging” US Census by counting illegal aliens

The Barack Obama administration is quietly in the process of rigging use of the US Census of 2010, which deliberately counted millions of illegal aliens, for the purpose of restructuring the apportionment of the US House of Representatives. Accordingly, as candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor of one of the negatively affected states (Montana), Mr. Bob Fanning and I have joined with several others in becoming amici curiae in a pending federal lawsuit brought by the State of Louisiana against the US Secretary of Commerce, et al., which was filed January, 13, 2012 in the United States Supreme Court.

What has happened is, the US Census Bureau erroneously claims that it “‘is required by the U.S. Constitution count everyone living in this country, regardless of immigration or citizenship status.’” Accordingly, they have counted millions of illegal aliens in the 2010 Census and are using those figures to apportion the US House of Representatives. If this egregious misinterpretation of the US Constitution is allowed to stand, five states (Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, and Ohio) will lose representation in the US Congress to which they are lawfully entitled, while three states (California, Texas, and Florida) will be awarded additional representation in the US Congress to which they are not lawfully entitled. And, of course, this will also directly impact the makeup of the Electoral College, which ultimately elects the President of the United States.
