This is for our readers in Colorado

As the organizer of the Castle Rock Tea Party, I have heard from many of you wondering what you can do next to protect our ountry from the socialist policies currently under discussion in Congress. In reality, other than contacting your representative, I had no real advice to give you. However, that is all about to change.
Based on the cataclysmic election results in Massachusetts on January 19, I believe it is clear that the momentum is swinging back to a nationwide call for smaller government, lower taxes and jobs. As we saw last year, Congress’s priorities are global warming, nationalization of banks, car companies and healthcare, as well as acquiescence to union demands and funding, with taxpayer dollars, of liberal front groups.
I believe this is all coming to a head, and here is where we all come in. I want to alert all of you to a move in Colorado to have a recall election for Mark Udall and Michael Bennet.
The Colorado constitution allows for a recall of any elected official, for any reason, as long as we get 25% of the number of voters who voted in the election to sign a petition asking for the recall. This means we will need 576,000 signatures within a 60 day period in order to make this come to fruition. We’re not waiting for the Elections in 2010 and 2014 to clean up the U.S. Senate Representation from Colorado. http://www.RestoreOurColorado.org is filing RECALL petitions for approval by CO Sec of State.

They are looking for people who are interested in maintaining petitions for signatures. If you interested in doing this, please register at www.restoreourcolorado.org. We are in desperate need of help here.
Unlike past petition drives, because of the large number of signatures required, petitions will be strategically available in different cities and towns across Colorado. The time and place they will be available will be posted via email placed strategically so the maximum number of people can have access to them at any one time. Then you can forward that email to other like minded individuals who feel the same way.
I will be hosting an event in Castle Rock at a time and place to be announced, after the Colorado secretary of state approves our petition. RestoreOurColorado.org folks are submitting the petition this Tuesday, January 26th and we should receive approve sometime thereafter.
OK, wow, lot’s of information here so I will end. Please forward this email to as many people as you know. We all need to be aware of what is coming so we can act as quickly as possible when it does come.

I called the office of the secretary of state and was told that the signatures would not be accepted. The concern I have is that all this work will be for naught. I am from originally Louisiana and called there to find out about recall of Mary Landrieu and the secretary of state turned the signatures down. The recall failed. Has anyone spoken to the secretary of state in Colorado to make sure the signatures will be accepted?
