Not much time left to get an XP PC
Written by Ed on June 25, 2008 – 11:00 pm -Three major PC vendors (HP, Acer and Lenovo) will be selling computers pre- installed with XP until the Microsoft-imposed deadline on June 30, but if you want to buy a new Dell with XP, you’d better order in the next couple of days; their cut-off date for pure XP PCs (without buying Vista) is June 18th. There is, however, a way to get around the deadline: you can still get PCs with XP (Pro only) installed after the end of month deadline if you buy a machine with Vista Business or Ultimate and opt for the “downgrade.” Read more here:
