7200 Volts!
Written by chuck on February 23, 2008 – 5:20 pm -I was amost home when I saw a very large flash in the sky. I drove two blocks up the street and took these photos. Alabama Power guy said it was a 7200 volt line. Darn good thing no one was under it when it fell.

The dog ate my key oard
Written by on February 22, 2008 – 12:07 pm -It’s true. I was sitting here working away when I heard an enormous crash of something hitting the roof right over where I was sitting. I jumped up and ran outside to investigate (it was a branch from the enormous old oak tree that overhangs the house — no apparent damage to the roof), and when I came back inside, I found Sasha chewing on a mysterious bit of plastic. I took it away from her, picked up the laptop and found:
Fortunately, the nice folks at IBM (bless their hearts) are not only sending me a new keyboard, they sent instructions on how to replace it when the new one gets here.
What a pain. And me with three websites under construction and all on very tight schedules.

Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS.
You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled ‘Invitation’ OR ONE CALLED ‘POSTCARD,’ regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens an Olympic Torch OR A POSTCARD IMAGE, which ‘burns’ the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-ma il ad dress in his/her contact list.
