I don’t usually agree with the death penalty unless some one has been killed. This is a case where those 6 white folks should be sentenced to death.

For the record, for thoses who don’t know, I am a 55 year old white male.

Oh my God, that poor girl. I cannot understand why someone would do something so heinous and barbaric to another human. I agree with you Chuck, those 6 should be sentenced to death-but first, subject them to the kind of torture they subjected that girl to. Yes, I realize our laws don’t support that, but nonetheless, it would be poetic justice. The fact that parents and their children were involved is reprehensible. I pray that not only her physical wounds will heal, but her emotional, which will take a lot more time, will heal as well.

THere is so much hate in our world and like chuck I oppose the death penalty in general, but it may be merited here.

chuck, to put it simple like — I AM A FIRM PROPONENT OF THE DEATH PENALTY. I agree with you about these people. These people should NOT ever be allowed to propagate !! These are the six people I wrote about when Whoopi Golberg made that asinine comment about Michael Vick,i.e., “It should be understood that he grew up in the type of culture where dog-fighting is acceptable.” The same logic may be used about these six very sick animals. Where the hell do we, as a society, draw the god-damn line ??? Will everything be acceptable just because how people are brought up or will NO ONE ever accept responsibility for themselves ??

2 comments. 1st, how can you be against the death penalty, and at the same time, want these 6 to face it? 2nd This whole story sounds fishy. Where was this girls family all the time she was gone? Did they report her missing? Also unless I’m reading it wrong, she had been there before and was mistreated. Why was she going back? Now she may be somewhat slow, but it wouldn’t take too much for the cops to ask her “how did you get there” For some reason the “Whole” story is not coming out. Myself i’m for the death penalty. and for good reason. Look at Minn. if you premeditate murder, you get life in prison. Life in prison in Minn. is 20 years. Plus you get time off for being good in prison so you are looking at about 16 years for murder. then you get out and can do it again……..and they do. If you murder someone, then you too should die.

It does not matter, no one should be treated the way she was treated.

I agree with you chuck 100%. I’m just trying to find out why her family was not there for her. I brought up 3 children, and when they came home from someplace, i watched their behavor. And I talked to them. But it does not matter if she was there once before or 100 times before, it should not have happened. Also i’m wondering if this was the first time they abused her. As we all know those that are abused, usually try and please the abuser, thinking they are doing something wrong. and if they please the abuser it will stop.

The death penalty means never having to say “what, YOU again?” The death penalty isn’t about punishment, it’s about protecting the rest of us.

    That I agree with.

I don’t have sources to back up the numbers, but it’s my understanding that 80-90% of crime is committed by repeat offenders. Assuming that’s true, it just isn’t reasonable to expect violent criminals to change their ways.
