I love squirrels. I feed them regularly. My daughter was visiting me this weekend and commented on how “fat” the squirrels were in my yard. They should be!!!! I love watching them. They are very playful and quite agile!! Nice photo!

Thanks for your comments. Did you know a squirrel is a rodent from the same family as rats? Do you feed and think rats are cute?

Yes, I am aware they are in the rat family, but NO way do I think rats are cute!!! I get a lot of enjoyment from the squirrels watching them play. I hear horror stories from the destruction they have caused some of my friends, but they never seem to “bite” the hand that feeds them!! :-)

Hey Chuck- I’m a little slow on replying but this is for deb37- what’s wrong with rats? I used to have a pet rat named Socrates (cuz he was so smart) but we called him “Sox” for short (he had 4 white feet that looked like socks). He used to ride under my coat, kinda under my arm in the sleeve. If anyone gave me a hard time, he would poked his little head out and they left me alone!! Of course, this was many years ago in CA. Sox was raised to be a pet rat- not your typical “run-of-the-mill” rat! LOL
